# Friends

:::hint{type="info" title="Premium"}
Sending friend requests needs Premium. Accepting a request is free.
:::

The friends list shows which of your friends are in KOJA Cloth Tool right now. It lives in your account menu and works from your Discord sign-in.

## Opening the menu

Sign in with Discord (**Sign in with Discord** at the top right). Then click your name at the top right. New in 2.0.8, the account menu is laid out in two parts:

- **Your profile card** at the top: your avatar and name, your Discord **ID** (click it to copy it; it says **Copied**), and your status with **Change Status**.
- **Friends** below it, with a count such as "2 online · 5", your requests and your friends.

A small number on your avatar means friend requests are waiting for you.

## Adding a friend

:::steps
### Get their Discord ID
A Discord ID is a number of 17 to 20 digits, not a username. Click **How do I find an ID?** in the menu for the steps:
1. In Discord, open **User Settings** > **Advanced**.
2. Turn on **Developer Mode**.
3. Right-click the person (or your own avatar) and choose **Copy User ID**.

To give someone your own ID, click the **ID** on your profile card to copy it.

### Send the request
Paste the ID into **Enter a Discord ID** under **Add friend** and click **Send**. The app tells you straight away if the ID is not only digits, is the wrong length, is your own, is already on your list, was already sent, or belongs to someone who has already sent you a request. On the free plan a note beside the field reads **Premium to send**.

### Wait for them to accept
Your request shows under **Requests** as **Waiting for them to accept** until they answer. **Cancel request** withdraws it.
:::

## Answering requests

Requests come first in the list, because they are the only rows waiting on you. Incoming requests show **Wants to be friends**: click **Accept** or **Decline**. Accepting is free on any plan. The requests you sent are listed in the same group, with **Cancel request**.

## The list

Friends are grouped into **Requests**, **Online** and **Offline**. Click a group's header to fold it; folded groups stay folded the next time you open the menu.

Once your list is long enough, a search button appears beside the count: **Search friends** finds someone by name or ID.

Each friend shows their status, or **Last seen** when they are offline. From a friend's row you can:

- **Message on Discord**, which opens a conversation with them in Discord;
- **Remove friend**. They stop appearing on your list, and you stop appearing on theirs.

With nobody on the list yet, the menu shows **No friends yet** and how to start. If the app cannot reach the server, the list says so and may be out of date.

## Your status

Click your status on the profile card (**Change Status**) and pick one:

| Status | What friends see |
| --- | --- |
| **Online** | You are online. |
| **Away** | You are away. |
| **Do not disturb** | You are busy. |
| **Invisible** | You appear offline to friends. |

Your choice is kept when you close and reopen the app.

## Limits

There is a cap on how many friend requests you can send in a period. When you reach it, the app says **Too many requests for now** and how long to wait.
